Since 2015, we have outpaced our local school district in state exams and graduation rates; we continue to raise the bar each year!
Our Students
Pharos Academy serves a diverse population of children from Community School District 12 in the South Bronx and the surrounding area. We believe that Bronx kids can and will achieve at high levels if challenged and loved.
Pharos Academy is unapologetically committed to serving Bronx Kids. Our school is fueled by caring adults who will stop at nothing to close all gaps in urban-education; achievement, opportunity, access, STEM. Our graduation rate has increased by 33% since 2016. We are graduating Bronx kids at a 20% higher rate than the average student in our district.

ELA State Exams
91% of 7th grade scholars are proficient in ELA – scoring 40% higher than the NYS combined average proficiency rate in 2025.
Math Proficiency
91% of 8th grade scholars are proficient in Algebra 1 – scoring 40% higher than the NYS combined average proficiency rate in 2025.
College Acceptance
All of our high school graduates are accepted into 4yr colleges or universities.
