Professional Staff Culture

Culture of Rowers

“Rowers can do it all, and they can do it well. Joining the rowing team will be the greatest decision you will ever make, if you choose to accept the harsh realities of the sport. By doing so, you will understand the incalculable value of an indomitable spirit—and you will learn, above all, that your achievements in life are limited only by the magnitude of your drive to achieve them.”

Excellence

Excellence is not a destination but a never-ending journey. It is a habit and a way of life for all members of our community. We all have to push ourselves to become kinder and better versions of ourselves each day. To accomplish this, we must employ candor and transparency around performance and instigate feedback loops to improve our practice consistently.

In action:

  • Lesson planning and showing up ready for scholars
  • Committed to receiving feedback and growth
  • Using data to inform your instructional practice
